- Customers that currently Own a 1995 or newer or Lease a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Competitive Car, Truck or SUV who Trade In or have an expiring Lease will receive Trade-In Assistance Bonus Customer Cash toward the purchase or Lease of an eligible vehicle. - Dealers are required to retain documents in all deal jackets. NOTE: - Lease Customers who have previously terminated their lease up to 30 days prior to the sale date of the new vehicle OR have a lease termination scheduled up to 90 days after the sale date of the new vehicle are also eligible for this incentive. - Dealer must enter the first 2 and last 8 of the customer's current VIN in Smart VINCENT claiming system or the claim will be reversed. - Customer must have owned or leased the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Competitive Car, Truck or SUV vehicle for a minimum of 30 days prior to the sale date of the new VIN. - Traded vehicles re-sold to the previous owner, a business owned by the previous owner, or members of the previous owner's household are ineligible. - A Ford/Lincoln/Mercury/Competitive Car, Truck or SUV vehicle may be applied to one and only one new vehicle lease/purchase, even if two individuals are named on the title/lease. - Customers who have previously totaled their vehicle up to 90 days prior to the sale date of the new vehicle are eligible. For vehicles that have been totaled, a copy of the Total Loss Settlement Explanation or equivalent document must be provided showing the following: - Name - Address - VIN - Date of the accident The dealership is required to retain photo copies of one of the following required supporting documentation: * The trade-in Vehicle's Title clearly indicating vehicle ownership transferred to the dealership as a trade-in vehicle * or, for non-Ford Credit lease, a copy of the Lease Contact clearly indicating the vehicle lease termination occurs no greater than 30 days prior to or 90 days after the new vehicle sale date * or, for Ford Credit leases, a copy of the Lease Contract, Lease Payment Coupon, or the Lease Turn-in Vehicle Inspection Report * note, the vehicle registration is no longer acceptable evidence as it does not convey transfer of ownership as a trade-in vehicle * Only one set of qualifying documents is needed for proof of eligibility
